The Temple Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one person injured Thursday evening.
At approximately 8:10 p.m. on November 28, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3300 block of Thornton Lane. Upon arrival, officers located a victim who had been shot in the shoulder.
The injured individual was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police arrested 19-year-old Colby Andrew Torres, of Temple, at the scene. Torres has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and his bond has been set at $100,000.
Authorities confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public.
