The Irving Police Department and community came together on Friday, November 22, to celebrate the life and legacy of Officer Jerome Scholz, who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle crash on November 15, 2024. The memorial service was held at Plymouth Park Baptist Church, located on N. Story Road.
Officer Scholz, 38, was off-duty when the crash occurred on Valley View Lane near the IH-635 intersection. The other driver involved in the incident failed to yield while making a turn, leading to the fatal collision.
