Join in the fun as Irving celebrates "Sparks and Strips" with the annual community parade on July 4. Irving's Independence Day parade has been voted 'Best Community Event in Irving' for the past several years. The parade features entries by community organizations, businesses and families, including floats and custom vehicles.
Applications are now being accepted online for this year's Independence Day Parade. Entries are due by 5 p.m., Monday, June 19.
- Participation in the parade is free. All entries must be decorated in good taste with a patriotic theme.
- Entries can opt to be judged in one of the following categories: Most Creative, Most Patriotic and the Grand Marshal Award.
- All parade participants must have a signed parade waiver form.
- There is a mandatory meeting for all participants on Wednesday, June 28 at Irving City Hall, 825 W. Irving Blvd.
