On Friday afternoon, November 1, 2024, an Irving Police officer responded to the scene of a minor accident and discovered evidence indicating that one of the drivers was impaired. Subsequent blood tests confirmed that 25-year-old Antonio Quintana was driving under the influence and was identified as a repeat offender.
Further investigation revealed that Quintana was a wanted fugitive out of Ellis County for Aggravated Assault. He was taken into custody and booked into the Irving Jail at 2:45 PM. In addition to the Aggravated Assault warrant, Quintana had 17 outstanding warrants from various law enforcement agencies, including the Dallas Police Department, Southlake Police Department, and Cockrell Hill Police Department. The warrants included charges for traffic violations, criminal mischief, public intoxication, and making threats of assault.
Quintana was charged with DWI, third offense or more, and the Aggravated Assault warrant from Ellis County, which has a bond set at $50,000. He is scheduled to be transferred to the Ellis County Sheriff's Office in Waxahachie.
