On Thursday, September 26, 2024, at approximately 6:44 a.m., Denton Fire/EMS and Police responded to a major accident along West University Blvd (Highway 380) at Western Blvd, just west of Interstate 35. According to Denton Police, the collision occurred when the driver of a sedan, traveling westbound on Highway 380, attempted to turn left onto Western Blvd. His vehicle was struck by an eastbound pickup truck on Highway 380.
The driver of the sedan, identified as 50-year-old In Ho Lim from Aubrey, was transported to Medical City Denton Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The driver of the pickup truck sustained no serious injuries.
Authorities closed lanes through the morning as Denton Police conducted their investigation into the fatal accident.
