On Sunday, July 28th, Irving Police responded to an alert about a stolen vehicle within city limits. Officers located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.
The driver, 42-year-old Kevin Penton, was found in possession of a substantial quantity of drugs classified under PG 1/1-B, including Meth and Fentanyl. Due to the significant amount of drugs, an investigation into drug dealing has been launched.
Penton was charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a first-degree felony; Possession of a Controlled Substance; and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. Additionally, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Parole Division had issued a warrant for his arrest for a parole probation violation.
