On Monday afternoon, Irving Police Officers responded to a car accident scene. Upon arrival, they discovered one of the drivers lacked a valid driver's license and refused to identify himself. During the investigation, officers found drug paraphernalia in his possession. The driver was later identified as 32-year-old Jose Guevara of Irving.
Further checks revealed Guevara had five open warrants issued by the Dallas County Sheriff's Office. Three of these warrants were misdemeanors for Criminal Mischief and Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). The remaining two were felonies for Robbery and Possession of a Controlled Substance. These warrants originated from an arrest in May 2023 within Dallas city limits.
