Information for Irving Sparks & Stripes Holiday Events on July 3-4

In preparation for the Sparks & Stripes holiday events happening on July 3 and 4, the City of Irving will close the following roads. Plan extra drive time, follow detours or seek alternate routes.

FIREWORKS AND DRONE SHOW | WEDNESDAY, JULY 3 | 7 TO 10 P.M.

    • Road Closure: Beginning at 10 a.m., E. Las Colinas Boulevard between Brazos Drive and Lake Carolyn Parkway. 
    • The road will reopen once vendors have exited the event in the evening.

PARADE & LIVE MUSIC | THURSDAY, JULY 4, | 9 A.M. TO 1 P.M.

    • Road Closures: Beginning at 7 a.m., roads in the Heritage District, near City Hall and surrounding Heritage Park. 
    • All roads will reopen by 1 p.m.
    • Be sure all vehicles in the Heritage District parked along the parade route are moved by 7 a.m. on July 4.

REMEMBER

  • Bring patience. Hundreds of people show up for the parade and thousands attend the Drone and Fireworks Show; be kind and courteous to eventgoers.
  • Do not litter. Place trash in receptacles and be sure items aren’t left behind.
  • Pack bug spray containing DEET.
  • Report suspicious activity to an Irving Police Officer or event staff.
  • Respect barricades, and do not cross into unauthorized areas.
  • Respect private property.
  • Park in designated areas and do not stop your vehicle anywhere on the road to watch fireworks or the parade.
  • Use crosswalks when crossing the street.
